Black & White Wedding-to-Home Tabletop Collection by The Wedding Library

Howdy, folks! Last week we introduced our stunning new tabletop collections by The Wedding Library — a collection designed to bring your wedding day style home through your registry, and we’re thrilled to dive a bit deeper into each of these collections in the weeks to come.  This week, a true classic, the Black and White Wedding to Home Color Story

Black and white is classic, clean, modern, and above all, timeless.  We love how so many pieces in this collection use small details, like whimsical floral designs, metallic accents, or stripes, to name a few, to add a uniqueness and character to a color scheme that will never go out of style.  Take a look at some of our favorite tabletop pieces below, as well as a few black & white wedding affairs by which this collection was inspired.

  1. The white and black chain ribbon design on this White Chain Side Plate by Miss Blackbirdy makes it perfect for entertaining or everyday use.
  2. We love the art-deco designs on Caskata’s Leesburg Chains Charger inspired by the horse country of Leesburg, Virginia.
  3. The enchanting black and white floral design on Miss Blackbirdy’s Black Flower Small Plate  make them perfect for entertaining — think, New Years Eve!
  4. As a cake topper, holiday ornament, or to greet guests at the escort card table, these Silk Bird Bride and Groom Cake Toppers by the Wedding Library’s Claudia Hanlin add just the touch.
  5. The simple beauty of this White Porcelain Pineapple by Lazy Susan makes for a striking piece of modern art that adds a touch of elegance to any room in the house. It makes us think of being somewhere warm, which is definitely appreciated during these winter months!

Claudia Hanlin, the creator of this collection

I was inspired by Truman Capote’s Black and White Ball when creating his collection.  Capote limited attendance to his Party of the Century to 540 guests and it soon became the most coveted ticket in town.  You can recreate this magical evening with my Black and White Collection.”

“I found fell in love with the designs of this fabulous young Dutch artist, Miss Blackbirdy.   The combination of her imaginative and enchanting designs are paired with elegant serving pieces that evoke a day at Downton Abbey.  Together they make a chic statement or you can accent with colorful pieces from other parts of the Wedding Library Collection.”

  1. The White Chain Large Mug and White Flower Bowl were both created by Miss Blackbirdy, who has illustrated for high profile clients such as Elle Girl and Cosmo Girl.
  2. We love these Dainty Cups by Roost. The glasses, which are sold in a set of six, two of which are seen here, are covered in cute, playful designs and are the perfect addition to any couple’s kitchen essentials.
  3. The Nougat Herringbone Napkin by Juliska delivers a dash of refinement and luxury to your daily table setting.
