Today we have a very special treat for you all in honor of Tabletop Market week here in NYC. Our talented friends at Atelier Isabey are here to give you some super savvy advice with, ehem, FREE access to their beautiful work, showing you how to dress up your table with fun, stylish accents – menus, placecards, napkin rings – that blend perfectly with your design and decor. So cool. What’s even cooler, these were all created especially for The Wedding Library‘s wedding day style-inspired dinnerware collections (check them all out here).
And if you’re in the market for custom invitations, save-the-dates or other design services, trust us, there’s no one better place to go then Atelier Isabey.
So without further ado, I turn over the keys to ever-so-talented (and super sweet) Margot Hallac of Atelier Isabey…
As a stationery designer, I love seeing incredible wedding concepts and inspiration transform into reality through stunning paper goods. At Atelier Isabey we’re all about sophisticated design and textures and making them come alive in beautiful spaces whether it be in a wedding ballroom or your own dining table. Very often though, we see couples forget to incorporate stationery where tabletop design and decor concerned.
Sure, invitations are the centerpiece of any social event and set the tone for everything to come. However, many people forget just how important and essential it is to continue the design through to wedding day items, tabletop accessories and everyday entertaining. A gorgeously designed menu can breathe a whole new dimension into a beautifully designed table just like a sophisticated place card can elevate the overall look at each seat.
That’s why Atelier Isabey has teamed up with our friends NewlyWish and The Wedding Library to make beautiful tabletop stationery even more accessible to all. We’ve designed three collections of carefully crafted printable designs to complement the various collections designed by Claudia Hanlin and The Wedding Library. You can now download them, print them out and voilà! Super easy and couture looking paper goods that are ready for anything from an intimate dinner party to a sophisticated bridal shower or rehearsal dinner. So let’s take a closer look at our three design collections.
I’m totally in love with the unique personality and charm of the Urban Woodland collection. How adorable are those rabbit plates by Cascata? We decided to follow this through by bringing in similar forest inspiration from faux-bois patterns, whimsical, wood-block inspired typography and rich shades of chocolate brown. You can even print out our designs on Kraft paper like these ones from Paper Source to give even more texture to your table.
Pewter and white is such a fresh and modern color palette. What’s great is its versatility – It can be classic or modern depending on how you decide to interpret and accessorize it! We were inspired by the simple but decorative detailing in these beautiful Juliska and Match glasses to create our own motif. We also had fun alternating between light and dark so that you can build depth into the overall look with the tabletop stationery pieces. Instant chic!
Last but not least, I’ve always been a big fan of color combinations that offer flexibility and will stand the test of time. Everyone knows you can’t go wrong with black and white. That’s why this combination is perfect for a variety of different occasions, table designs and formality levels. Everyday entertaining to black tie affair, casual to glamorous, black and white always delivers a beautiful, buttoned up look. When we saw these unusual plates by Miss Blackbirdy we just knew we had to create something that had the same exuberance and spirit. Alternating between black and white gave us the opportunity to be bold and let certain pieces “pop”. For example, try shifting between black and white napkin rings at each place setting to jazz up your table.
