One of the things we’re really focused on here at NewlyWish is helping our clients create gift registries that reflect their personal style. Many of you are probably putting in a lot of time and energy creating the wedding day style that’s perfect for you, from the invites to the décor, the bridesmaids dresses to the favors. Well, we think that this is a great place to start thinking about your registry style, too.
So, for today’s post, we’re starting a series called, Wedding-to-Home, and will be inviting some of our favorite folks from both the wedding and interior design worlds to share their wisdom on how to take cues from your wedding design and use your registry to help create an at-home style that you love.
I love seaside weddings (in fact, I had one myself) – they always feel so much more like a vacation than an event, and I love the idea of including design elements in my home that capture the essence of ‘beach’, without feeling like it was decorated by Long John Silver.
For our first post in this series, we’ve asked Amy Beth Cupp Dragoo of ABCD Design to share her ideas on bringing the seaside wedding feel home. In addition to being a brilliant and super sweet lady, Amy Beth is a renowned artist, designer and stylist who splits her time between New York City and the hills of Litchfield County, CT. After you’ve read this post, be sure to follow her beautiful and inspiring lifestyle blog here.
With that, take it away, Amy Beth…
